Red Panda Brewery

The Red Panda Brewery and Swiss Cheese processing unit in Bumthang were introduced in early days by Mr. Fritz Maurer Swiss national. Today he is well known person in Bhutan along with his cheese production unite which produces Emmenthal and Gouda using state-of-the-art cheese making machines. Next door is the brewery, the Red Panda, and produces pale straw-coloured Hefeweizen. At the brewery the tour starts with a walk through the plant and ends with the sampling of freshly brewed beer. The Red Panda Beer is made in small volumes, with aromas of bananas, clove and hint of lemon. Perfect to taste with the locally made cheese. There is an entry fee of $5 and closed for visits on 2nd half Saturdays & Sundays.
